Dandelion Daydreams

For year #5, I swore I was going to make her costume
for the first time, I bought the fabric
and sewed something
without a pattern
but it was atrocious
and my motherly pride wouldn't let me send her out wearing the monstrosity I had created
so we went to walmart
thursday afternoon
before the school party friday
and bought the very last
girl costume
in her size
which means
she was a snow fairie/ice princess
shocker -
some sort of princess
for the severalth year in a row

if I make a resolution now
to actually use a pattern next time,
do you think I can successfully sew something
next year?


p.s.
it rained
she froze
but still got sugared up
and had just as much fun passing candy out to others as getting her own
