Life snapshot

Seems that's about all the blogging I do lately. I keep telling myself I'm going to get better but alas, not quite there yet.

  • the good doctor has officially moved halfway across the country so if i had not already decided that it was a hopeless cause, it is now for sure. at least until he comes back to visit for christmas and such. fortunately for me i'm never without a prospect on the horizon, they just don't usually know it!
  • i have pseudo job security for next year. i'll believe it once the contract is signed but it's looking pretty good. (pretty good to the tune of taking on an additional class and being made the freshman class student body rep. i'm gonna be busy.)
  • aeryn had her first performance ever. she just finished a little dance/singing/acting program in which she was the mom from where the wild things are. cutest. thing. i. ever. did. see. this program got her from princess of bashfulness to speaking clearly in public with no hesitation. goodness it's been amazing.
  • i've been running again. it's been a while to say the least, but it seems that i've still got it. a little. first 5k of this segment of my life will be this coming saturday and i hope to live to tell the tale. i'm runnning this one. it's significant personally as it raises money for cancer research at my mother's alma mater. i'm sure i'll report. at least i'm sure i'll intend to. don't hate me if i fail.
  • made 3 batches of cupcakes from scratch for friends birthday party instead of vacuming my house or cleaning bathrooms. first time ever that baking has led me to the throws of a minor nervous breakdown. but that was yesterday. today i ate leftovers in my now clean kitchen and was happy.
  • almost 3/4 done with this first insane year. i count that as quite the accomplishment. AND i still love my job.

Love the updates... it's always fun to catch up with others and their busy lives. I love that you are doing the 5k, my hat is off to you! I am sure that you will do well... even if you have to walk the last mile, at least you are doing it!! Good for Aeryn too... it's so fun to watch them grow and do new things as their personalities really start to emerge. I wish they were little forever...
