Eight days and only somewhat counting

It's official
Tomorrow marks the middle of term 1
I'm an eighth of the way through the first year
Still alive
And happy

That's an accomplishment, no?

In the absence of an "interesting" post,
here's our life update as late...

A: playing up a storm with the new neighbor friend, learning to write better and use more "mature" phrases as learned from peers, adapting to the early schedule and getting up by herself at 6:00 (even on weekends...), thrilled about Grandparents Day at school and Grandma attending her class, planning her own lunches, and rearranging our living room furniture.

Me: sleeping, working, thinking about eating something, feeling maternal instincts toward many of my students, finally getting beyond The Good Doctor (I think), scrapbooking for stress relief (if you know me you realize the unlikelihood of this), and returning to the Pride and Prejudice obsession of not too many months back.

Oh, and anticipating the first very hard earned, full-time paycheck of our new life.
