so, all this party talk, and free time, and soon-to-be student teaching (read: stalling on portfolio completion) motivated me to do something that's been on the back burner for a few months. this fantastic paisley print was a remnant i found for .... get this.... $0.15.
yup, fifteen cents! it's really stretchy though so all attempts to sew it were seriously disastrous. finally i caved and went for the iron on route. 1/4 inch wonder under and 1/4 inch $0.50/roll ribbon. the edge still left a little to be desired so i added the satin stitch (though i muddled it up a little bit).
what do ya think? not too bad for like 84 cents worth of supplies.
