beautiful

the other day, as munchie and i were playing surrogate puppy parents, we saw the most beautiful sky. the soft, billowy heavens were blanketed with a thick rolling clouds whose undersides all reflected the most delicate shade of pink. i stood there seeing the reflection of the sky in the surface of the lake and reveled in the quiet moment we would have missed had we been sitting indoors, simply existing, while the mundane droning on the tele passed the time away. a scene we only witnessed because we were outside, enjoying our health and the beauty of this Earth.



we walked the neighbors dog. he didn't need it, as his mom took him on a 7 mile walk already that morning, but it is one way i try to prep the kidlet for the responsibilities of having a pet. anxiousness abounds in our home for the day we can rescue a little fuzzy one. as we walk we talk about how, just like us, doggies need exercise. they need to run around. and you know, i think they need to see the beauty of this world as much as we do.
