i have a social engagement this evening and as such have been looking for the *perfect* attire. as i was looking through my closet, my eyes were opened to an obsession that i have been oblivious to for these many months (or years).
i offer exhibit a:
a soft, drapey brown number i bought to wear to a friend's wedding. sure is sassy, and i was extremely happy to find the "required" color in my size and on clearance.
exhibit b:
the basic white button up, though nicely fitted without making me reconsider my strong aversion to plastic surgery. that pulls me through everything from classes, church, grocery shopping, gallivanting around the park, and soon-to-be student teaching. again, clearance.
exhibits c, d, e, f, g, h, i:
here i see my first silk tops, my first cashmere, and my favorite dressy-but-not-too-dressy tops of all sorts. the best part? ALL clearance. i can honestly say that one of the slinky black silk tops cost less than $10.
i suppose it's not THAT bad, even considering that this doesn't include the sweaters or jeans. perhaps the intervention can wait. i'd hate to make that precious sale rack wonder what happened to me.

you know what i notice... you are tiny!!! all smalls. ;)
dude, thats so great. If they were all different brands no one would care because they were seriously $10 each. Keep at it. Enjoy!
Can't blame you. My favorite dress pants of all time and even my favorite western-style shirt are both Banana Republic. Though I found mine hiding elsewhere than the clearance rack. =)
I just noticed this post, but only because you linked to it in your last post. We are two peas from the same pod, but at least we look fabulous. ;)
